Busy little bee

Actually it is not a bee, but whatever it is, it is enjoying a sip of nector from a thistle, one of the exotic plants that have become a regular sight on our landscape.



This picture was taken earlier today on a trip Sue and I made down the Elands River Valley to Patensie. There are a lot more pictures to come over the next few weeks.

PS: The busy little bee is a hover fly. Amazing what a Google search reveals
