Taking the first steps. I can't remember how many steps there are to the top, except that there are many. It is well worth the climb though.
Eerie light in the narrow stairway. Before the advent of electric lights the climb up the stairs must have been very gloomy.

Pamela they arrange tours at the lighthouse all the time. You may have to wait if a tour is already at the top.

Love light houses. Climbed to the top of the Tybee Island light house near Savannah, Georgia. Got the certificate to prove it. Great place. Love the photos.
