It does not matter what time of the year it is, but there is always something flowering in the Eastern Cape. It is now aloe season and they are putting on a spectacular show of colour.
I took these pictures of what I think are the aloe ferox near Cookhouse earlier today.

I've only seen an aloe houseplant nothing the size of these in the wild. Great pics. Hope all is well. Have a great night.

Wow! I had no idea they grew like that. Actually have seen them before, but not close up enough to know that they were aloe plants. Gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
I haven't really had a chance to get out of town to see the aloe like this yet, but hope to seen. We really are fortunate to have something coming into such brilliant flower this time of year.
