Walking with Cheetahs

At the Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre, we had the opportunity to walk with the Cheetahs.

They look like cats.........................

They purr like cats........................maybe a little louder...............

They have paws like dogs...............................................

It was a great experience to be walking with these big spotted felines.

Hi Max
Great to see you pop up in my comment section....
I am on a roll at the moment but at time it can be a chore... but at least it keeps my mind busy... I'm fine though I over did a walk yesterday and suffered by heart beat and knee and hip joint wise... ha!
I wish I had such a cat to take pictures of... the markings are stunning.
All the best my friend... send Suzi my love.

I have had the opportunity to interact with cheetahs both in Oudtshoorn and at Kragga Kamma and agree with you. They are real cats who like the attention.

Oh, how lucky you are to walk and pet this magnificent creature. He looks so content with the attention he's getting. Have a great day.

Reminds me of a book I read as a kid about a little lion cub called Elsa. Looks like this cat is big and people should run...run...run :)

So beautiful and they purr and you get to stroke and pat them, lucky you. Does their fur feel soft and silky like a pet cat?

They are amazing, thanks for sharing these shots! I learned something new... I never knew that they have paws like dogs. Fascinating!
