Sky Watch Friday - Matters of the heart

I thought today's shot of the Westbank aerobatics team drawing a heart would be appropriate for this weeks Sky Watch.

A year ago today I had a heart attack, which was followed by a bypass operation. I am now as fit as a fiddle, my cholesterol is under control, I am fanatical about my diet and swallow pills every day. The sad fact is that this was all avoidable, had I just heeded the warning signs. But I did not, so there is no point looking back on the past and lamenting the fact that I could have done a better job looking after myself. I have been given a second chance and will embrace it and enjoy every day.

Don't take your health for granted - if the warning signs are there deal with them - once you lose it you don't get it back.

For a great selection of photos and posts visit the Sky Watch site for links to sites all around the world.

Great shot, and wouldn't we all be better off if we do what we should, but unfortunately we don't and suffer the consequences. But i am happy that all is well with you now and keep it up

I support your warning that you are note to take your health for granted. You might even be struck down by diseases that are unavoidable.

Glad you are doing fine and can show us such pictures!

What a perfect shot, Max! I love it! I'm so glad you're doing better with your health. It really is a wake up call for me as I'm fighting diabetes which is no fun and I'm not always good.

Wow Max-e already a year, where did this time go, I remember when it happened, I was worried. I have this feeling about virtual friends, that we are untouchable, but yes we are all people. I am glad that you are on the right track, and you are right no reason to lament, the point is we can never go back in time....Excellent shots, love the heart. Anna :)

Your advise is well taken. I'm now a senior and have had some little changes that are of concern. I've checked with my MD and now have some tests scheduled with a Specialist.

Your site is spectacular. I enjoyed the pictures of the long-eared cat. The others are very interesting, as well. Keep up the good work.
