The giant flag at the Donkin has become a new and prominent feature on the Port Elizabeth landscape. As today is Freedom Day I thought it would be fitting to show the raising of the flag.

The flag really has become part of the PE landscape and a great landmark. Every now and then it pops up in photos taken around the city as well.
We have some large flags in the aread, but I have never seen one as large as this. Very impressive.
