Who in their right mind goes to a game reserve on a wet and gloomy morning, when the rain is falling?
Me for one, plus a whole lot of other wildlife enthusiasts - some even in an open game viewing vehicle. In an interaction with the field guide afterwards, I was told it was quite miserable being in an open vehicle in the rain and wind, but I am sure they all rewarded themselves with a hot shower afterwards.
One thing about a gloomy day though, is that it does give you atmospheric shots.

I can imagine it gets cold and wet on that vehicle, but if its their only visit to a game reserve then its worth it
I do agree with Jonker!! But we do what we have to do to see/enjoy the things we hope to see! Have a great weekend, Max!
It's good to see others enjoy fun in the rain too!
How many animals did you see, out in the rain? I wonder why the road snakes along like that. Atmosphere, right! I am waiting for the atmosphere here to stop falling so I can go for my walk...
Judy this part of the Park is new. They bought up a lot of farm land some years back and the this could follow the old farm tracks. It's actually nice to be able to meander through the plain.
There were not too many animals about - in that weather they normally go into the thick bush for shelter. The hartbees and zebra were on the plain. I saw some elephants in thick bush and there were a lot of birds about - ostrich, guineafowl, glossy starlings, cape long-claws, pipits and many more.
