An elephant bull, with a missing tusk, nonchalantly munching away at the the grass, at the Addo Elephant National Park .
But one thing you must always bear in mind when visiting Addo. If you spend your time just looking at the big grey elephants you may just miss the little grey birds. I still need to identify this little fellow, which will happen one day.

love the little grey thing..bird. So sweet. Cannot help with the id.
They grey bird looks like an American waxwing, although not the same color. Waxwings are related to orioles. Could be in the same family?
I still cannot imagine a world where the elephants wander around wild... I know they do, I just can't picture it. The same way I know there are people who have never seen snow.
A lot of people tend to miss the little things when they visit Addo
What a sweet bird! So cute!!
Its a great picture Max, you got really close to it without flying away. I'll have a look to see what I can find out what species it is.
Just how close were you to the elephant, or do you have a long telephoto lens? Pretty little bird too. Beautiful photo's again.
