Sky Watch Friday - Reaching for the sky

This old, or should I rather say dead blue gum seems to be reaching for the sky, at the Arboretum at Hogsback.

Visit the new look sky watch website which is being hosted by Tom, Sandy and Imac.

I enjoyed that one. Even though the trees were dead there was somehow life in the picture.

Dead, yes, by the lines of the trees do seem to be reaching up. Nice.

I call this kind of dead trees vulture tree! I just expecting to find a vulture sitting and wait for something to eat in one of these trees:)
Nice shot!

What a great photo, it really grabs you. The colour of the sky and the silhouette dead tree is great.

The Team thanks you for your post and making this venture a success.

It is reaching. And what a beautiful sky it is reaching for.

I guess I have to be different...made me think Edgar Allan Poe the first thing, but that doesn't mean I don't like it. I do cause it does get a reaction out of me.

Yep, your title fits the photo perfectly... they really do look as if they are reaching for the sky. Probably for a little water as they seem a tad parched...
Great photo, beautiful colors...

Quite true ... the way you framed the trees sure makes them seem like trying to reach the sky as if they had arms!

Julie said...

Very stark aren't they? And to have the wind whipping the sky around behind them adds to the intensity of the image. I like this ...

I like this picture very much! Very intense, indeed!
Have a nice weekend!
