A sad old lady

The shell of an old Ford Mercury Eight, photographed at Malealea, Lesotho. A far cry from her glory days, which were in about 1946.

Something very sacred about old rusted out cars. Is a secret hidden within? Are there stories of journeys and adventures? Neat pix.

Yep, the old Ford has seen better days. There's something fascinating about the way it's rusting back into the environment though.

Very sad indeed! I think would need a hard work to recuperate this car...

It would be a rare to find one on the road but also rare to find one like this. Nice shot!

Would be interesting to know THE story behind this car - and it's driver(s), don't you think? Nice shot, Max!

Thanks for commenting on my blog.I had to smile about your swimming experiences and the alligators. You were really brave, Max! :-)

Oh....so sad. Someone should have taken the time and money and had her restored.

If only this car could talk what stories could it tell us today. I always think that when I see those rusty heaps out in the bush.
