Bald Ibis

This bald ibis vey obligingly posed for me the other day in Lesotho.

We have a couple of these in our local zoo (in a very, very large enclosure with an enormous net over it) but it's great to see one in their proper habitat.

That is an amazing looking bird. I have only seen the Scarlet type before and that was down in Florida.
