A lesson from Lesotho

If you happen to go to Lesotho do not have a set to with one of their sandstone corner posts.......

They are about as solid as the Rock of Gibralta and you will not win..... they tend to bring a reversing car to a very sudden stop. They are very unforgiving.

So sorry I am late with my messages Max but I spent a few days on your beaches. :) Don't know how you stand all that wind but all except one day was really lovely. I will post some pictures I took while down there.

Love your donkey pic and the posts on the cats.

Wishing you a fantastic 2010. May it bring you great joy and happiness.

I hope you dont live too near the stadium my friend as I think June/July is going to be chaos. :)

Hi Joan, December is probably the worst time to come to Port Elizabeth on holiday, because it is usually very windy and sometimes it rains. My faourite time is around March and April.
Fortunately we do not live too near to the stadium, but we have a good view of it from Richmond Hill. It is not in my opinion ideally placed for accessibility and parking, but hopefully that will be sorted out.

Hello Max. I must remember that for the next time I go down there but this was such an unexpected opportunity. As I did not have my car there as I went up by bus so I did not have much chance to ride around and see the layout of the town but a friend spent one day showing me around. I have not been there since 1964 and found vast changes to everything as could be expected. I know you would find the same if you came to PTA as they are gearing up for the games.

What I wondered about while there was the accommodation as there is not much available from what I could see. The small places like Road and City Lodge plus the few hotels seem completely inadequate.

All in all, I hope the games are a success and there are no hitches. Now, is that being optimistic or pessimestic? LOL!!
