This Red-veined Dropwing posed very obligingly at the van Staden's Wild Flower Reserve today.
These are one of the most common dragon flies in the region.

I love it when they let us get up close and peersonal with that macro setting or lens.

They never tend to sit still long enough for a person to get close enough, but when you do get a pic like this its always a syunning feeling.
