Depth of field - take your pick
If you've ever tried photographing dragon flies you'll know that sitting still is not in their character. Now bring a 120-500mm lens on a tripod into the picture and try and sort out the depth of field for a particular shot.........
My result was slightly different with the two shots I succeeded in getting off...............so red or blue, take your pick.

It was being at the right place at the right time Jo. They just happened to alight on their perches at the same time.
If I had to choose only one it would be the one with the blue in focus. Only because of the way it sits
I think it is amazing that you got them in focus at all!! I prefer the blue one...
Well, the red one looks like a cousin of the one I got at the Desert Sonora Museum last month.
