What makes me happy

Well David here we go again - another question and another answer. What makes me happy?

I am a simple soul and there are many things that make me happy. But today I want to talk of who makes me happy rather than what makes me happy.

Being with Sue who is still the love of my life and my best friend after 31 years of marriage, is what makes me happy. Her fun loving nature and enthusiasm for life and her friendliness is contagious – so I can’t help but be happy around her and love her.

From the start we have been soul mates and enjoy each other’s company and like doing things together. We also have our own interests and we give each other the space to be who we are.

Yes, she gets distracted and burns the dinner from time to time, but then if she didn’t she would not be Suzie.

I guess you can say a good loving relationship is what makes me happy

G'day Max-e,

You spoke my mind. Substitute the names and that is my story too.

Where would we be without our wives, who are our best friends.

My love to Suzie, the inspiration for this, your blog and so many of the other things you do.

Well done mate....

Are you going to be following the World Cup rugby?

Cheers and thanks for taking part

David

What a lovely tribute to your friendship with your lover! Enjoy every moment...
Next week would have been my 30 anniversary...I miss my boy every day and cherish my memories. Thankfully we had 5 kids that help keep a little part of him alive for me! [hehe LOVED the pic!!]

Hi David, I count my blessings every day and don't take our relationship for granted.

A very definite yes to the last question. My son and I watched the opening match last night and were both happy with the outcome. Nice to see the underdogs coming out on top.

I see there could be some friendly rivalry here - may the best team win

Cheers

Thanks Cheesy.
We treasure our time together - I have been late for more than one early morning appointment, because when we start chatting we can't stop. Sometimes we just sit together in companionable silence.
The pic - that's us - no traditional white wedding. Bye

Aw Max, that was a lovely tribute to your wife.

It's nice to see people grow together, accept their differences and mellow into a real relationship that can withstand anything thrown at them. Today's couples give up too soon.

Love to Sue.
