Sometimes as a blogger you just have to sieze the moment. I managed to snap this one just as the traffic light turned green, while on my way home this evening - so please pardon the dirty windscreen.
..
It is almost 30 years ago that Elvis died - yet his memory lives on. I still enjoy his music, but I cannot understand this type of "hero" worship, but then I guess it is our differences that add spice to life.
Any other Elvis fans out there?

YEAH....me...! :-) I have the whole collection of many CD's. It was my "best time" in life, back then...LOL.
Not me :).
That car is a bit OTT!
Got to love the fans! I've seen some over the top fans of Nascar drivers too.
I like the songs at the time but I can not say I was much of a fan. I see much the same over here as well.
I love the gull shots below as well.
You have now proven that "Elvis has left the building" ...
I was on holiday in Spain the day he died, and boy, did all the discos, nightclubs and everyone else notice it!
Thank you for nice comments.
He really was a good singer and I still like listening to his music but I cannot say I was of a fan.
Susanne, my first Elvis LP was Something for Everybody, which I got way back in about 1961. My collection of Elvis music went out with the demose of LP's. We have one DVD at the moment, which I do enjoy.
Jenty you can be excused for not being a fan, he was probably long before your time :) I agree that this is over the top.
The Muse I often wonder how the brains of the fanatial fans are wired. I cannot understand that kind of hero worship.
Tom I suppose he could not win us all over :) Did you have a favourite?
RuneE, he definitely has. You got me thinking about where I was when he died. I was living and working in a war zone at the time and only heard about it some time afterwards.
Max-e this is so true, and myself I still cannot believe how many Elvis impersonators are there too, lol. I think in Vegas you can get married by Elivs too, lol. Anna :)
...forgot to mention, I like Elvis too, but moderately. Anna :)
