Skywatch Friday - Zebra crossing

This is what one can call a "zebra crossing" against a perfectly bleak sky. This shot as taken at Vukani Loop in the Addo Elephant National Park.

Beautiful capture, great composition!
Lonely creature, hopefully there are no lions around.

Thanks Merisi. Unfortunately for them there are nine lions in the park. Six of them live in this area, so the game has to be very wary, if they do not ant to become dinner. When the lions are out and about the larger antelope and zebra sense it very quickly and become very alert and aggitated.
In February I posted a picture of a lion chasing a hartbees. Him and his partners never caught it, but it was amazing to watch the strategy the lions employed in the hunt.

Sylvia K the lions are an important part of the ecology of the park and help to create a balance. The park has also re-introduced hyenas, which has closed that circle.
