Greetings at the Waterhole

This video shows two young elephant bulls greeting. One of the peculiarities of the Addo elephants is that only the males have tusks.

VERY interesting, Max. Is the tusk factor true of all species of elephant?

David I am not sure about the indian elephants, but as far as I know this is unique to the Addo elephants. You will see tuskless elephants in many of my shots

Wow can you really just go out and see that? I would love to go to South Africa sometime, even just to stay for a little while.

I just spied you on Swu's comments and thought I'd stop by. This is an awsome blog! My mother loved elephants, so the fascination has filtered to me. Thanks for letting me into your world!

The Fool, it is as simple as that -if you want to see an elephant, just jump into your car, drive 70 kilometres and there they are in the wild.

Neva this is one of the joys of living in Africa
