Some sections of the road leading from the Elands River Valley to the Gamtoos River Valley are not that great, so it helps to have a vehicle with a high ground clearance. My little bakkie (truck, ute, van) is a bit low slung and there were some horrible scraping noises at times - but it was fun.
This photo was shot through the window while we were on the move.

ha! my Land Rover would love that road...
I am sorry, I have missed many of your beautiful posts; that’s only because of the time which I have never had enough but I am enjoying in your posts now. I’ve just met adorable Felicity, then I admired the willow photo. I also enjoyed in wonderful view of your valley. As for this photo, I like that blue sky the most.
What a beautiful area this is, I love the photo from yesterday of the valleys that go on and on ....
Thank you for visiting my blog, I am glad you liked the kitten, she is part Persian, belongs to my sister and is now quite grown up.
Very beautiful. I wonder what is on the other side.
Whoa, that looks like a jarring ride but the views must be worth it.
Max-e great photo, feels like the road ends there, just becareful, it looks like clif edge. I love the blue sky, so nice to see one, Anna :)
Tom I would have loved your Land Rover on that road :) Been looking at an old jeep, but it is overpriced, so I will give it a miss.
MedaM thanks for all the comments. Glad you enjoyed the posts.
photowannabe - I guess you could call it a bumpy ride.
Dot the other side was not that interesting, but eventually we came to the hald green valley.
starnitesky the views there are amazing and the hills do seem to go on forever. The area has been declared a wilderness area that has the support of the WWF
Anna it was a beautiful day. But eventually was blowing gale force winds. What was nice was the crisp cool air up in the mountains.
