It is just as well that we did not focus only on the sky, otherwise we may have missed this Cape Clawless Otter, fishing off the shoreline. What a delight to come across this shy animal.

You have the most interesting things on your side of the world. Nice catch of the otter!
I love the otter swimming in the water! Very interesting picture! Well done!
The otter's swimming towards you for a photo op! =)
I have two Sky Watch pictures this week (completely different from one another) and are posted in these blogs:
Jenn Was Here and Shutter Happy Moments. Please hop on any of them if you have some time. Happy weekends!
You definitely must at all times look up, down, left, right, and behind you and then do it again in case you have missed something.
Slows things down but it's worth it.
That is one lovely otter! He's got a beautiful sky as well as the water to enjoy!
I do love the softness of grey clouds!
But that dear little face of the otter is simply adorable! Great capture!

What a great photo! And how nice to find another genuinely South African blog with photos of high quality! I had begun to think blogland was only populated by North Americans with an odd Australian thrown in here and there. I was born in the Eastern Cape, grew up in Cape Town and live in Pretoria. Miss that sea! Regards Eleanor at Thatchwick
I like both these: the otter is a delight and I am sure that I would be charmed by him. However, the first image is so evocative. The blasted sand dune at the front already forms how I will approach that frozen sky behind.
Lovely image. Thank you.
The Sky shot is good but pales with the beauty of the Otter max.. :O)
Hope this finds you well...
Tom
What a sweetie in the water:) Nice photos!
What a great 'catch' ..

Wow! Great photos, Max! Sure, really a delight seeing that otter just free!
Two gorgeous photos. The dunes and sky are beautiful, but that otter is totally endearing.
beautiful images, both!

Hip hip hurrah for otters! I caught some a couple of weeks back and felt so giddy!
Both pictures are great and the otter in the water put a smile on my face.
Love your pictures and I have your blog on my bloglist.
