Sky Watch Friday - Play Misty for Me

We went to East London on Sunday and were met with a wall of mist outside Grahamstown. It was like the sky had come down to us, in a thick pea soup.

These blue gums were shot at the first lay-by we came across. No point in missing a good photo opportunity.

I love fog in the countryside, it is so comforting. In a city it is full of unnamed threats and thoughts of Jack the Ripper.

The gum trees look like a scene from Lord of the Rings. I can imagine Hobbits emerging from the grey mist or should it rather be 'Tokoloshes' on the road to Grahamstown?

Trust you and your family had a 'gelukkige Kersfees' and best wishes for the New Year. I look forward to many a excellent entry on your quality blog.

That was an impressive fog, I must say. Still the trees in the mist look very mysterious and beautiful.
