Skywatch Friday - Karoo sunrise

Windmill sunrise in the Karoo

I have always called them windmills, even though they are designed to pump water and are technically windpumps. But after doing some checking, I have found that they can still be called windmills, even though they pump water.

Visit the Skywatch site to see many great pictures from around the world.

Your lovely photo could just as easily been from the US midwest. I always love to see the old windmills of this type on farms. Great sunset too. Thanks for sharing!

And thanks for the vocabulary lesson. I mean it. Comes with being married to an English teacher. :)

I have always called them windmills too. :)

I am so busy with the website I am getting done that I do not have much time to visit everyones blogs. So sorry about that, but I hope to be back into "normal" mode in a month or so, then I will have more time. :)

I do love that ribbon bish Max. What a beautiful flower it has on it. How well do you know wild flowers? I am looking for someone to help me identify some? If you do know someone, please ask them to contact me on macromail2 at vodamail dot co za.

I am so pleased the soccer is almost finished. Everything seems to have been thrown into a turmoil by it. :)
