Polygala myrtifolia is a fairly common, widespread pioneer shrub. It has pretty mauve flowers on and off throughout the year, but peaks in spring.
It is also known as the Augustusbossie (August bush) and September bush.
This one was photographed at Cape St Francis this weekend.

Hello Max,
these are so sunny. I enjoy your photos. Summer is coming to a close here in the US. The south is starting to cool off a bit now, and I can "feel" fall.
I love the flowers and the way you show them! gardening is one of my biggest passions
I was looking at the same kind of bush at a wedding on Saturday. Didn't have my camera on hand though.
